October 3, 2001 Press clipping;
Talal Chahine, owner of the 10-restaurant chain, La Shish, Inc., announced the donation of all gross sales from all of his stores on Wednesday, October 3, 2001. At a press conference today, Chahine explained, "No matter where we were born, we are, first and foremost, Americans.  And we must all do what we can to relieve the suffering of our fellow Americans at the hands of terrorists.

Tastefest - Annual participation in this fun filled event that highlights the Detroit Metro area's finest culinary experiences in the heart of the New Center area.

Art’s Du Jour - Participates in the annual event at Somerset Mall in conjunction with Arts, Eats and Beats to benefit charities within our communities.

Detroit Metro Visitors and Convention Bureau
As a member of the Detroit Metro Visitors Bureau, La Shish has hosted a variety of visitors to the Detroit Metro area. Exposure to the Middle Easter culture, food and legacy offer a sampling of the diverse communities in the Detroit Metro area.

Local Restaurant interaction

With the many locations around the city, La Shish is able to concentrate and develop community activities and programs specific to each location.  This gives each store the ability to target within their community specific consumer needs including charitable requests We look forward to supporting our local communities and welcome corporate and community inquiries.
